International School: Education for Global Leadership!
International English School of Science & Technology (ESS) is a co-educational independent school that offers students from diverse backgrounds the best of English national education. The school is firmly based on the academic standards found in a typical, high-quality British independent school.
Moscow International School of Science and Technology (ESS) is a rigorous international university preparatory school specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
ESS is small enough to provide a caring, respectful atmosphere whilst promoting the highest academic achievement. The warm and welcoming school community makes it an ideal place to receive a quality education with a diploma valid for the best Universities around the world.
Academic Excellence: the school follows the English National Curriculum of England and Wales with a strong focus on Science and the most innovative approach to teaching methodology. The ESS enriches its programme with the best of Russian and international curricula to inspire our students to achieve the highest standards of intellectual and personal development. Students thrive because individual capabilities and learning styles are recognized. Creative and critical thinking are integrated with effective oral and written communication in all classes. Educators emphasise and encourage the meaning and value of community and the joy and importance of lifelong learning.
ESS curriculum has its main focus on the teaching of science, mathematics and information technology alongside other core subjects of language arts, history, geography, design and technology, visual arts and music.

Moscow International School of Science and Technology: STEM Education in the Heart of Russia
STEM education includes every field under the umbrella of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths—everything from chemistry to physics, software design to trigonometry.
There is some debate in the STEM community about potentially including Arts in that lineup (and then it is abbreviated as STEAM) as a means of stressing creativity and innovation in these typically data-based fields. But this approach has not yet been recognized by the main professional bodies dedicated to STEM, such as the STEM Coalition and the National Science Foundation.
Rather than teaching the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, our Moscow International School of Science integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on projects and real-world applications.
The language of instruction and communication at the school is English.
Ballet (Classical Dance)
Ballet is part of the school’s curriculum. Ballet is great for all children in every way! From the age of 4 years old, children start to gain musicality, become aware of their own bodies and develop good co-ordination during classical dance preparation exercises.
The art of ballet is excellent for both girls and boys – especially when young. As children get older it maintains flexibility, fitness and control over the body.
It is also a great way to obtain a beautiful posture, a trained body, an ability to concentrate, self-discipline, confidence and a strong will! The ballet classes at ESS teach the children ballet technique through long-term Russian classical dance tradition and knowledge.
ESS offers classical dance lessons as part of its PE education to all its students twice a week at EYFS and Primary years. In Middle school we offer ballet classes once a week and a ballroom dance class once a week so that our Middle school students still enjoy two dance classes a week.
Extra-curriculum lessons are available for those students who are interested in more advanced ballet lessons.
At our Senior School Ballet classes are available as an extra-curriculum programme only.
