Our younger children visited a local stable to give them some insight into a book which they are reading for their English Literature classes, “Black Beauty” – a famous children’s classic novel by Anna Sewell which is in fact a life-story of a horse.

The children got the chance to get up close to the horses and ponies and not just read about them in a book but to feed and ride them as well. Everyone enjoyed the trip a lot, though some children didn’t expect that the horses were a little smelly!
