Dear Parents, Pupils & Friends,
School Progress Update, no.2 & Summer School
Greetings from ESF! This is the second of a regular series of letters to keep you up to date with all that is going on at the school. We are already open, with our first handful of pioneer children, primary and secondary: joining in mid-year is still available.
Last weeks’ Open Days were a good success, and we welcomed a group of very promising parents and children. Interest in the school continues to grow, and we have new students starting after the East break. The next open day has been booked for Saturday 27 May. All welcome – please spread the word. If you can’t make it on a particular day, get in touch and arrange a visit at any time – you will be most welcome.
We are already advancing plans for this year’s Summer School. This will run for three weeks (with a 4th possible) in June: 5-9, 12-16 and 19-23. This is open to all, current ESF pupils and guests, aged 4-14. Note that this overlaps with the last bit of the regular school year, so our current pupils will enjoy an extra enriched curriculum, with more classmates. The programme will focus on English, with a very active learning mix, including theatre, poetry, art, music and group work. In the afternoons there will be sports, activities, team building exercises and trips to local places of educational and sporting interest. Contact us for further details, and to reserve your places.
Staffing: We continue to build our team of experienced educators. We managed to get everyone together this week, and here they are.
Best wishes,
Yours sincerely
Ross Hunter, MA (Cambridge)
Founding Development Director.
